Gymboree offers a safe, fun, nurturing place for parent and child to play together on the path towards social, physical and emotional development.
We have dance, gym, music, art classes, and age-appropriate activities – even a class for newborns!
In their early months, newborns are learning to feel comfortable in the outside world. They are working on regulating their eating and sleeping cycles and even their body temperature. What’s most important for babies during this time is that they feel comfortable, safe and secure.
When they do, they are not only better learners; they’re also better able to connect with their loved ones. All of the activities in Gymboree baby classes support these critical goals.
Babies show an eagerness to learn about the things around them by turning toward sounds and looking at and tracking interesting sights. We use brightly coloured props, instruments and puppets to encourage eye-tracking and your baby’s earliest attempts at exploration.
We also sing, dance and explore various baby-sized pieces of equipment designed to help build important neck and shoulder muscles.
Babies learn to roll in order to get closer to you or a desired object. To communicate with you, they babble. They show their pleasure at seeing their favourite people by looking up and smiling, making sounds, and using gestures such as happily moving their arms and legs. We help you learn how to stimulate your baby and encourage this natural desire to communicate.
Manager Gita Patel: “It’s very rewarding for babies and carers to share a serious learning experience and sensory stimulation through the pure fun of play and gentle music.”
